How to enjoy Good Time in Tobata
Hello, it’s my turn to write about our training center.
I would like to introduce not about the training itself but about the sight of the area so that you can enjoy your stay while here for the training.
There is a long and thin bay called as “Dokai-wan(bay)” right in front of NSTC’s training facility. NSTC is located in Tobata-ku, and across Dokai-wan from Tobata-ku, there is an area called “Wakamatsu-ku”.
The access from Tobata to Wakamatsu, crossing the Wakato-big-bridge or using Wakato-tunnel are the common way, but those way of access are only allowed for the vehicles.
For human, using pop pop boat “Wakato-ferry” is the most popular way of access. This Wakato-ferry has long long history since 1889.
There are historical buildings (not so many, though) and very famous croissant bakery in Wakamatsu-side. Original soft-serve ice cream of the bakery is quite some tasty snack.
How about enjoying 3 minute Dokai-wan cruising on pop pop boat and then having a glass of beer looking into the sea? Isn’t it nice?
You can enjoy Kokura where are full withrestaurants and bars when you travel Kitakyushu, but you may have lovely time as well in Wakamatsu if you have time to visit.
That’s the suggestion of how to enjoy Tobata~Wakamatsu by a staff living Wakamatsu (with dearest wife and kids, with home mortgagingJ).
