STCW Basic Training Renewal Course (For Domestic Vessels)
How is everyone doing? NSTC is as busy as usual. Now let me get to main topic here, regarding the STCW Basic Training Renewal Course for Domestic Vessels mentioned in the title, we offer a one-day STCW Basic Training Renewal Course for Domestic Vessels, separate from the regular STCW Basic Training Renewal Course. All “crew members designated for safety or pollution prevention duties in ship operation” are eligible to take the STCW Basic Training, but according to a notice from the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism, crew members of domestic vessels who fall under the above-mentioned categories of “crew members with a seaman’s license,” “crew members qualified as a navigational watchkeeper,” and “crew members qualified as a person responsible for handling dangerous materials, etc.” are eligible. Demand for the course has been increasing, so additional number of the course has been scheduled in the NSTC annual training schedule. But they tend to fill up quickly, so we recommend that you make a reservation as early as possible.
A scene from STCW basic training for domestic vessels. We utilize a shower curtain to prevent powders from a dry chemical fire extinguisher to spread into surrounding atmosphere as much as possible during a training using a dry chemical fire extinguisher which often causing a beautiful rainbow to appear. Can you see it in the photo?
We have asked people who have taken training at NSTC to fill out a questionnaire, and we would like to introduce one of them.
“Instructor explained thoroughly in an easy-to-understand manner. It was good practice that frequently calling out for safety during practical training.”
This comment was left in one of the questionnaires we received after the STCW Basic Safety Training for Coastal Vessels refresher course introduced above. Thank you for your nice comment. At NSTC, we strive every day to provide our trainees with a meaningful training experience, and receiving comments like this makes us feel rewarded. Of course, we receive feedback from everyone in the questionnaire and use it to improve our future training, so we take any comments positively. We look forward to your continued support of NSTC.
