STCW Basic Training Course has been held, October 31 to November 4
Winter comes around here in Kitakyushu, the temperature getting cooler and cooler this week. Despite the cold weather, the delegates were energetic enough to enjoy STCW training course vigorously.
I’d like to introduce you some scene from Search and Rescue training.
It’s a training using fire-fighting hose. Although they never knows what ahead of in the darkness, they worked hard to train themselves wearing unaccustomed breathing apparatus. They opened the door to find…
Smoke filled room. We replicate many kinds of situations in order to react if any emergency situation happens.
One of the comment by the delegates says;
“Experience of the real situation such as fire and swimming with lifejacket on let me feel the real fear that I had not been experienced during the fire drills. I do think that I would look around carefully and anticipate worst situation on board so that I can react in emergency.”
We are very happy to hear that the delegate have found something during the training. It is important to simulate the situation in order to shorten the time to respond the emergency in advance. This can apply not only in your work place but also in your daily life, such as travel. If you can check at least two evacuation route from your accommodation room, the survival rate for the emergency situation raise dramatically.
Thank you very much for joining our training.
