“The Expanse”
When we are doing firefighting training at NSTC’s fire ground in Wakamatsu, we really like to play with fire. And always containing it. We shout loudly “Fire!”in two languages. We use plenty of water, foam and other extinguishing agents. It is not just about mastering the techniques. It is also about unleashing energy and courage. If the play is realistic, it will generate a path in the delegate’s memory. So when the real fire situation will occur, a reassuring thought will be present:“I’ve already been thru this”.
For such quality of training we need space. Starting from August we will have a broader territory for action. Our new fire ground extension is in work.
We, NSTC staff also are looking forward to working on the expanded training ground. Those of you who are visiting NSTC again for refresher training will be able to compare the past and present ground.
