GWO affiliates gather in Tobata!
12 October 2023.
The CEO of the Global Wind Organisation (GWO) and other GWO training providers in Japan gathered for a meeting at the Nippon Survival Training Centre, at the invitation of the Class NK (NIPPON KAIJI KYOKAI), the certifying body for GWO training!
The meeting gave us a renewed sense of the significance the significance of GWO training and the responsibility that training facilities have as a safety initiative for the wind industry in the future.
The meeting also included a very interesting analysis of the expected number of GWO trainees, which made us realize that GWO training will become more and more necessary in the future.
In the afternoon, instructors from various GWO training providers in Japan exchanged opinions and identified common issues, including problems in the provision of training, which led to heated discussions.
Most of the instructors I met had attended NSTC at one time or another, and we heard a lot of “long time no see”, “welcome back! I was personally very happy to be able to say hello to so many of them.
At first glance, training providers may appear to be in competition with each other, but we are all working together with the common passionate goal of contributing to the safety of the wind power industry! We are all training providers with the same passionate goal: to contribute to the safety of the wind industry.
We will continue to work together to provide safe and effective training for everyone!
