Joining‘UMICON 2018’
Nissui Marine KOGYO, Ltd.,that run NSTC, has participated in Ocean & Business Innovation Convention,as known as “UMICON 2018” that was sponsored by Yokohama-city and JAMSTEC,etc. The event was held in Osanbashi-hall (along the Yokohama International Passenger Terminal) and our company co-sponsored to exhibit our business at our exhibition space.It was the first convention and will be annual convention as second year event has been already scheduled in January, 2019.
Osanbashi-hall is a neighbor of Yamashita-park and its view were perfect, the scenery from Osanbashi-hall looked like that of a harbor in other countries.
The Research Vessel HAKUHO MARU, owned by JAMSTEC, was open to the public and we could have walk around tour inside the vessel. Many lectures were going on and variety of poster session and exhibition were highlight of the convention. 
Our company exhibited about three business out of many business, Research Vessel CONCEPT, new chemical (fish oil) tanker OMEGA III (first voyage 2017) and NSTC as Offshore Education business.
We put together a team from different section of our company to work on this exhibition and to promote our business to the customers.

Our exhibition booth has experience-based activity and the visitor could have trial of wearing an immersion suit.
We also distributed the product manufactured by NISSUI, our parent company, as OMEGA III transports fishoil that refine into fine-chemical and finally into the functional food. RV CONCEPT had been known as “NATSUSHIMA” when it was owned by JAMSTEC (now her owner is our company),
so the photos to introduce the vessel were very popular among the scientist who had been on board her long time ago.
NSTC will also participate and exhibit for Tokyo International Fire and Safety Exhibition 2018 from May 31 to June 3 at Tokyo Big Sight. We are very excited to generate ideas for the exhibit, and more over excited to see the visitors there. I will announce about the event once if any progress.
