GWO basic safety training version 15
The revised standard version 15 of GWO (global wind organization) basic safety training has been issued in April.
Generally, the transition period is 3 months, in another words, it will be effective from July 1st. However, this time, the previous version of the training standard will be valid until the 30th September 2022.
In previous version, there was an update of the content in Sea Survival, but No major changes in other modules. Only few minor overall updates. For example, in the standard, the word “Delegates” was used for trainees (or students), but it was changed to “Participant”.
By the way, “Delegate” means a representative, etc., but it is also used in the OPITO standard as a word to describe trainees (or students).
The standard version 15 had a huge update on First Aid module. Are you ready for this? Guess what? Duration of FA shorten from 13hrs 20min to 7hrs. Meaning, FA delivered over 2days will be 1day. Now this will have huge effect on both your side and our side. (In positive way, of course) ＊NSTC plans to start providing GWO Basic Safety Training 5 Modules in 5 days from September 12th.
Temperature outside is just right for practical training outside lately, unfortunately it only last very short time, soon comes hot season. We will deliver the training, rain or shine, hot or cold.
Looking forward to seeing you here for the training.
